Drivers Education

Step 1: Bring in or apply for a birth certificate.

 

We can order these if the student does not have one. We need a copy of the parent's SGI card or the student's VALID status card. Both parent's date and place of birth. Please see Mr. Trina Thomas for applications. The school will pay the first birth certificate only. If we had paid for them in the past and you have lost it we cannot pay again.

Step 2: An email address.

 

Please utilize your tsec.ca email accounts provided to you by the school. You can also choose to use a person email address if you wish. If you require help please see the guidance counsellor.

 

Step 3: SGI Customer Number:

 

This needs to be done at an SGI business. But the student first needs a birth certificate and an email address in order to get his or her personal number.

Step 4: Sign up online with SGI under "MySGI".

 

This can be done at the school if you do not have internet access. If you are unfamiliar with the site please see Mrs. Trina Thomas she can assist you in the process.

Please note that we cannot follow through with steps 2, 3 and 4 without the birth certificate or without completing the previous steps.
